What is an Associate Degree?

The Associate Degree (AD) is a 2-year post-intermediate qualification designated by HEC to replace the old BA/BSc system. It is a complete degree in itself, allowing you to enter the job market quickly. It is also equivalent to 14 years of education and is recognized by all government and private employers.

The biggest advantage is the "bridging" option: after completing your 2-year AD, you can apply for the 5th semester of a relevant BS program at any university and complete your 4-year BS degree. It divides your education into manageable 2+2 year chunks.
